Evi Koehl
About me:
Hi, I’m Evi (she/her). I live in Vancouver, and work as a registered clinical counsellor in the province of British Columbia. I have felt a call to be a healer since very early in life and I feel very privileged to do this special work. I have spent time as a client too, and know how transformative this work can be.
Professional Experience:
I have been in professional healthcaring positions for the past 15 years. From my early experiences as an RN to my current role as a registered clinical counselor (or RCC), my passion has always been for the healing that can happen in safe, meaningful and supportive connections. I have had experiences working with adults of all ages as they adjust to life transitions, heal from trauma, handle tricky relationships or better understand who they are.
My Approach:
My approach with clients is soft, curious and deeply accepting. Life hands us all tough experiences from time to time, but we don’t need to endure those experiences alone or in vain. Instead, times of hardship and pain can be our doorways to insight, growth and positive change.
I use a combination of therapy approaches including emotionally-focused therapy, narrative therapy, mindfulness practices and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). These approaches are tools we can use to access the innate wisdom of our bodies, minds and spirits. I am here to walk alongside you as you bravely engage in this work.

Amanda Huettner
About me:
Hi, I’m Amanda and I use both they/them and she/her pronouns. I went back to school at (almost) 40 to
become a registered clinical counsellor, so I can support others the way I was supported after a serious
accident changed my life and career. Counselling helped me immensely, and I hope to pay it forward!
My inner teenager is shocked that I’ve become infatuated with learning! I hold a Bachelors degree in
Gender and Sexuality and Masters in Psychology. I’m wrapping up my Trauma Clinician certification at
NYU, and look forward to pursuing more sex therapy training as soon as possible.
Professional Experience:
I specialize in supporting clients negotiating catastrophic injury, acquired disability and chronic illness, fertility and pregnancy and parenthood, trauma, anxiety, depression and mood disorders. I also carry a BA in Gender and Sexuality and years of post-academic work in this area, so I enjoy working with those exploring their gender identity and sexuality. I work with adults and youth over the age of 13.
My practice is informed by over 20 years of experience working in law and access to justice, trauma and
crisis response, disability and accessibility, indigenous sovereignty and anti-oppression. I also carry lived
experience as a queer, non-binary person with a disability, and I am an IVF parent.
My Approach:
I believe in meeting people where they are at with compassion. Sometimes therapy is about setting big
recovery and life goals, but more often, it is about gently reducing the harm unhelpful thoughts and
behaviors are causing.
I firmly believe that you are the expert of your life and in what will work (and won’t work) for you, so there is no one-size-fits-all approach that works for everyone. Your existing strengths, skills, coping strategies and supports have kept you afloat and brought you here today.
I’m excited to learn what those strengths are.
I am trained in, and often use a combination of tools and techniques from, emotion-focused, narrative, cognitive behavioral, acceptance and commitment, and solution-focused brief therapy models. I humbly try my best to practice from a feminist, sex-positive, anti-oppressive, decolonial, fat positive and body neutral perspective.
Areas of Specialization:
-
Anxiety, depression and mood disorders
-
Trauma (particularly accident, injury and medical trauma)
-
Relationships, gender identity, sex and sexuality
-
Infertility, IVF, Pregnancy, Chest Feeding and
-
Parenting
My Mission:
My goal is to foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where every individual feels
respected, seen, heard, and valued. I will dedicate myself to continuous learning, growing, and adapting to meet the evolving needs of my clients and the ever-changing landscape of mental health.
I commit to reflecting on my power and privilege as a clinician, will address power imbalances in the
client/counsellor relationship, and do my best to practice socio-cultural humility.

Tanya Linsell
About Me:
I truly believe that deep down we all need to feel like we belong. That we are part of a bigger story through some form of connection: to a person, a shared belief, to the earth. But let's face it, life can throw curveballs our way and we get knocked around—whether it's from other people, difficult situations, or societal expectations that try to squeeze us into boxes. Sure, we figure out ways to adapt and deal with whatever life throws our way, and we survive; but we can also lose something along the way. I know this struggle firsthand. As a teenager, I completely lost sight of who I was, and it took me a long time to find my way back. I spent too long trying to be like everyone else, when what I really craved was to feel at home in my own skin—to feel connected to myself, the world around me, and the loving folks who got me. Finding my way back to my authentic self has been a long journey; and it’s one I am still on. If you are feeling disconnected, stuck, or unsure of how to change, you are not alone.
My Approach:
I believe in goal-directed therapy, where you are actively engaged in setting your treatment goals and take ownership in your progress. We will focus on specific issues, bringing clarity so you have the tools and resources to deal with the hard stuff that life throws your way. Therapy is not always easy, but I will do my best to ensure you feel safe, accepted, and understood throughout your journey.
Professional Experience:
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology and I work with various treatment modalities to create a unique treatment approach according to individual client needs. Working from a trauma-informed, strengths-based perspective, I seek to empower clients in achieving their wellness goals.
Areas of Specialization:
-
Anxiety and Stress
-
Sexual orientation and gender identity
-
ADHD
-
Trauma and PTSD
-
Attachment related issues
My Mission:
To provide a safe, supportive, and empowering space for clients to explore their inner worlds, heal from past wounds, and discover their full potential.

B Flood
About Me:
My name’s B and I’m a Newfoundlander who’s wandered out West, admittedly for the better weather. I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor and meditation teacher with a naturotherapist designation. The values that lay the foundation for my practice are mindfulness, authenticity, autonomy, and self-actualization. I identify as queer and have experience living alternative lifestyles. I have been described as down-to-earth and silly, and I like to incorporate these aspects into my therapy. Outside of work you will probably find me foraging, dancing, or hanging out with my dog.
Professional Experience:
Through my own healing journey I found wisdom from both Western and Eastern approaches. I have a long academic and working background in Western psychology and clinical research where I focused primarily on person-centred and trauma-informed therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, somatic therapies, psychodynamic and existential therapy. I have also done clinical research on the association between trauma and chronic pain. I have a long-standing personal and professional relationship with Eastern mindfulness practices that have led me to facilitate meditation classes, resiliency workshops, and mindfulness eco-retreats. I have experience working with a wide breadth of clients including neurodivergent, 2SLGBTQIA+, and BIPOC. I also have experience working with ADHD, Autism-spectrum disorder, anxiety, depression, 2SLGBTQIA+ affirming care, trauma/ PTSD, grief, borderline personality disorder, and social phobias.
My Approach:
I blend talk therapy with somatic approaches to help you gain new awareness into yourself and your situation, learn to better regulate your emotions, and develop a deeper sense of meaning and purpose in your life. I use a strengths-based and radical acceptance approach that lets you know that you are not the problem. Instead, we find new ways to use your strengths to navigate the world around you to cultivate more ease and satisfaction in your day-to-day life. Immerse yourself in this mindful experience that will leave you feeling a deeper sense of fulfillment and clarity on how to move forward.
Areas of Specialization:
-Anxiety and Depression
-Emotional Regulation
-Trauma and PTSD
-Major Life Transitions
-Spiritual Counselling
-Neurodivergent-Affirming Care (ADHD and ASD)
-2SLGBTQIA-Affirming Care
My Mission:
To make you feel safe, understood, and hopeful about the future. To help you gain confidence, cultivate resilience, and live with more purpose and intention.
I aim to increase life-satisfaction as well as minimize suffering.
